• Product Description
• Finally an electric brake control right where it belongs! On the Trailer! No wiring in tow vehicle, no knee knocker unit inside cab, no adjusting, no hassles, no kidding..just drive.
• It is recommended to have a dealer or installation professional install the Autowbrake. Autowbrake units come with everything needed to install on a trailer.
• Mounts any direction & angle
• Direct wire into junction box on trailer
• Works with 1,2, and 3 axle trailers
• Operates in Reverse
• Will shut down automatically if a cab mounted brake controller is sensed
• Key FOB for auto override, testing, and sway prevention
• Absolutely nothing inside the tow vehicle
• Three settings depending on size of trailer: Low, Medium, and High
• Question: What if I use a different tow vehicle that already has a brake controller installed or built in?
• Answer: Autowbrake will find the signal as soon as you plug your trailer in to tow and it will disable itself automatically...no need to disconnect or adjust anything...The next time you tow it will be ready for you...no adjusting needed.
• Question: How often do I need to calibrate my Autowbrake?
• Answer: Only the first time you install on your trailer, or if you move it's location. You will also calibrate if you move Autowbrake to another trailer.
• Question: Do I need to reset the setting every time I tow?
• Answer: No, your Autowbrake will remain on the same setting each time you tow until you adjust it. We do recommend that you adjust settings if you are towing a utility, cargo, or equine trailers depending on towing loaded or unloaded.
• Question: What if I feel a tug or hard braking the first couple of times I stop?
• Answer: Autowbrake may take a few stops to recognize what you are towing, as well as your braking tendencies. Remember this is a computer in a box which is thinking and processing information constantly. It is normal for this to happen.
• Question: Will Autowbrake work in reverse?
• Answer: Yes, Autowbrake is on constantly, however will only activate the trailer brakes when you depress the brake pedal (or depress the key fob)...and yes...even in reverse.
