  • How Does a Hydroxyl Generator Work?
  • A hydroxyl generator uses UV-C radiation technology, which replicates what happens in nature when the sun s ultraviolet rays break apart water vapor. The process creates hydroxyl radicals (OH) that decompose chemicals in the air. The hydroxyls break down and inactivate odors, VOCs, viruses and bacteria, and other microorganisms.

  • How it Works: These generators use UVA lamps reflecting off a coated super reactor screen - by reflecting the UVA ray off highly reactive titanium dioxide catalyst, a hydroxyl radical is formed. The photocatalytic reaction uses the H2O in the air to create super hydroxyl radicals, free electrons, and ionized hydro-peroxides.
